Steve’s work has featured on a few “All India Radio” album covers
Steve R. Dodd paints these fantastic space/sci-fi works, featuring starscapes, gargantuan interstellar portals and monolithic gateways. By his own description he’s a homebody, and has no interest of ever leaving his Tennessee home town.

Did Husmo go to Antarctica? That’s a long way from Norway.

I’ve often wondered about the cover art on Jaco Pastorius’ Word of Mouth. I didn’t know that it is a crop of a (much wider) panorama. Apparently it was taken on Loppa Island, Norway, in the 1970s by Arnulf Husmo.
WORD OF MOUTH
At least one of Arnulf’s photos became part of the “Tony Stone Worldwide” stock image library, a photo of a sunset in Antarctica, in the old motivational poster layout.

Tony Stone Worldwide seems to have been absorbed by Getty Images. Unsurprisingly for a stock image library, I guess, their entry on discogs is lengthy.
