Then after I’m up, the zen mode comes, I’m awake enough to not fall asleep meditating, get the fresh air with a clear mind, and then get into jotting down whatever I couldn’t shake during meditating and walking.

First hour here is devoted to getting the day in order. The order of these can vary, but making sure you are ready to tackle the day is priority number one.

Big Screen Time

Once you are ready, dive into whatever you want to get done for the day right away. This two hour block is the most important time for me.

This is dedicated unproductive time. Do nothing, scroll the internet, read blogs, check-in with FL/micro.blog/etc.

11:00 - 6:00

I try to keep cooking time around 30min and eating time around the same. Usually start the Big Screen Time while eating or have a game on while cooking.

Additional Thoughts

Makes you realize how much of a pain commuting is...

Definitely too much time devoted to TV here.

Will probably expound on Focused Work vs Loose Thinking vs Deep Thinking and why each is important and why these are split/positioned/given this amount of time.

For one, Loose Thinking can be done while you are doing some of the less meaningful work and letting your mind wander a bit.

But if you think you do more than 5hrs of real work in any day you are probably lying to yourself.

And most importantly you shouldn’t treat any map like this as a bible. It’s a loose structure to give direction, but never will a day fit perfectly into this so you need to be adaptable and not let an emergency or last minute meeting throw you for a loop and ruin your day.

And I think if you take the first hour, middle hour, and last hour as prescribed here, those five hours will be more productive and energized.
