Yes to all of those.
The creation doesn’t need to be automatic, but being able to create from the tag and have a space with the tag automatically would be cool.
*I also understand this isn’t easy or magical (nor is this probably the best way to go about it). Just an idea I had when reading this that I wanted to riff on a little bit.

I still would really love a way to have this view persistent.

For mobile, something like Futureland’s drawer that pulls open to display Daily over the Activity feed could work.
So excited to see what you come up with! Please focus on what you think is best for the app as a whole and say no to my dumb ideas, but I’ll continue to give my perspective and help anyway I can as you brainstorm. 😻
Throwing away everything I just said, if I could have a way to open this tag view and keep it open in a card, and then do the same thing if I linked a space to itself and have a similar card open and be persistent with the various places that also link to it, I’d have 90% of what I want.
I’d love these references (both tag and link) to feel elevated and promoted to remove that friction.
The friction of reference is the key I’m trying to work through.
There isn’t much there besides the links to the places Kinopio is mentioned, but I think it’s still super helpful. I can provide more examples if needed.
And I’d also be able to add additional information and context around any broad thoughts on journaling or if I want to brainstorm on different ideas around journaling.
By having tag spaces be opt in, it solves the problem of cluttering up your spaces list w random tag spaces
Additionally a space with the same name as the tag would also be listed in the tag dialog
With this, I could tag them all and then they’d show up in the side bar.
I previously requested a space that would automatically add links to all my Journal spaces.
Link to the “Kinopio” page in my public Roam.
It also would automate some of the stuff I’ve asked for // discussed before.
Being able to add information to these allows additional context and a storage place for info on the topic.
The tag boxes used today are super nice, but there is a concrete-ness that feels missing with how I use these types of tools.
I’d still want to be able to see the current Tag card within another space (as implemented today when clicking a tag), but I’d also want to be able to click an arrow to take me to the Tag space.
Just repeated the Tag card image a few times to imagine what a side bar could look like.
The reason for this is to have a place where I can provide additional information directly to the tag.
This is one of my absolute favorite things about Roam. It makes the tag a real destination vs a quick smart search.
With that being said, between Spaces, Journal Spaces, and Tag Spaces, there would probably have to be a better way to find // filter spaces because most of the time you probably wouldn’t want your tag spaces showing up in the main list.
It would probably have to be a special Space “type”, because the key here is the bar on the left (or right), that displays all the places the specific tag is used).
The idea here is anytime a Tag gets created, a new space would also get created.
This space is Open for others to contribute ideas // thoughts // criticism.
