- What is the url of your space? (the space needs to be public and in English, because it’ll be screenshotted and embedded in the guide)

Media Tracking Spaces

I even use colors a little bit in the headings too, but where I’ve colors even more useful is to color code shows or movies, by my interest level and if I’ve watched it yet or am planning to.

I can use the Headers to lay the space out and organize it in a way that’s relatively easy to track and follow.

Headers and color were two things I never thought I would ever really use on Kinopio, but they have been critical to organizing the spaces.

If I talk about a show or movie in another space, or log when I’ve watched it in my journals, I can use the tag to be able to cross-reference and see the history of my viewing and where else it might have come up.

Tagging has been a wonderful way to keep track of all of the shows and movies over the years and where else I might have touched upon them in another space.

I wanted something that would be super flexible, visual, but also easy to update and re-organize, all while beingconnected to a broader web of note-taking and tracking.

This way I can easily drag and drop shows/movies from one list to another without having to update a flag or information in a more structured database.

Now that I have these spaces, it’s also become a place to track what I’ve watched, and start to formulate ranked lists that will lead to my end of year lists. And with the TV space, I can keep an area dedicated to the weekly schedule of what’s currently airing.

- What are you trying to do with the space (humdrum question, can rephrase)

The questions are pretty templated, but if you’d like to go off the beaten path by adding and answering other questions, you’re welcome to do so.

The Guides on the help pages are short QA style interviews with people about a single space and use case. I think in general, visually interesting spaces with a specific/primary use-case are the easiest to talk about.

- How do you collect and organizing info/images for this space? (do you use any specific kinopio features for this?)

- What are some important parts/requirements of this kind of space?

There are a lot of blogs that do lists by month or things that they are anticipating, but I wanted something more comprehensive and tailored to my own tastes so I had to make it myself.

The goal of these spaces is to have a quick place to see what’s out and available to watch and what’s coming out over the course of the year.

- Why did you decide to use a Kinopio space for this use case?
