Make it simpler
that said, I don't know what the simpler alternative would look like. my worry is that because it seems so synchronous, that things could grind to a halt if someone's busy on their turn
The goblin gets knocked back by the thunderwave, and while they are falling off the edge of the ship, a thunderbolt hits them and turns them into ash. The ash gets carried by the wind and slowly falls in the water
