The circus Snaglak used to travel with disbanded sometime ago after poor ticket sales for too many seasons in a row. He takes any job that pays enough coin as long as it lets him move from place to place, having been accustomed to the travelling life.
As Snaglak saunters down Waterdeep’s port lazily, common folk in his path hurry to clear the way. They thought it best not to risk offending someone of that size, not least given that battleaxe slung across his back. He eyes them indifferently, used to people wanting to keep their distance.
As he arrives at the docks, he reaches for his coin pounch and weighs it in his hand. It has been almost a whole week since he arrived in the city and he had just settled up for the last few nights at the inn before making his way here. Just as well that it’s about time to board the ship.
Snaglak raised a brow. Though he had no clue what the Draconic script meant, the way that it was concealed seemed rather unusual.
He turned to face the merchant. “There you go! At least this happened when there’re so many hands around to help out. I haven’t seen fruits like that around the city, are they native to the area?”
(_Word travels fast, especially for his merchants like him_)

Snaglak insists that he isn't expecting anything in return, but pockets a **Moonscale Fruit** anyway and thanks the merchant.
SIDEBAR - Persuasion and Deception
Side note: Some merchants use pirates as a way to save coin - yet Illegal, there is no harm* other than profit.
*Caveat: This also means undocumented cargo and unknown contraband could fall into the cities/village market.
_This medallion is made of gold. On the front is a ship's helm pressed into it, with a blue gem in the middle and green gems on each of the handles._
_On the back, there's a trident with two mermaids on the sides, both holding it in the middle._
_The medallion has two holes in it, one at the top and one at the bottom, so it can be hung upright or upside down._
Snaglak notices that no one seems keen to make the first move. The ship might set sail without them at this rate. Snaglak starts walking towards the ship, rummaging through his pockets to find the coins that were fronted for this journey.
