@bentsai
’s original mock-up idea.

“what would you want Kinopio Capture to do? Input field for entering a card. What else?”

Ideas for an app for quickly capturing ideas and posting to Kinopio (via the API)

version 0.0.1 https://kinopio.adamprocter.co.uk/

GOALS

related my cards only toggle view (both spatial and list)

Simplified view

Quick capture of ideas

Prioritize card contents (?) above spatiality

show cards as a list (remove spatiality)

OTHER ART

Defer organization until later

Examples from nodenogg.in alpha

Drafts

You could have a minimap that highlights the currently selected/edited card

Trello

BASICS

You can show x, y values (not sure how helpful the raw numbers are)

Default Space

this allows quicker access and easier editing because you don’t have to pan around looking for the card

Ability choose other spaces

upload picker for device would work fine for this

Add text card

Add image card (if possible)

I don’t know that this is needed, my only though around this is the values for the backend to be able to do the outline/indent stuff...?

?

ability to use in shared spaces

so I can have focus view and co-creators could be spatialising on big screen

BONUS THOUGHTS

Connectors?

Card Positioning?

Thinking of our outline/indent discussion (if you could send a position and move a card over?)

Tags would be cool

@humdrum
hopes:

Colors, autocomplete.

@Procter

Connectors can be rendered kinda like labels in Trello. Metadata (not part of card name). Card can have ingress or egress connection with particular name and color.

I definitely have this use case in mind

My thinking when you shared your original mockup was around a few small details.

Functioning very much like Drafts in that, you open the app and can immediately start typing.

An ENTER would create the card, move it up into the “cards section” (basically everything above the “entry section” and immediately be ready to start typing your next card.

A Default Space w/ the ability to choose other spaces if needed would be a really big thing for me.

I think this is probably the trickiest thing to figure out.

+1

I would definitely want a way to connect things as I’m writing, a la outliner, but the spatiality obviously isn’t a factor here, and I don’t think the ability to connect things that you aren’t currently writing in the moment is important.

This is making me want groups a lot now. It’d be cool if you could set a Space and a Group for cards to go in and then you’d be able to know “hey, for this space, all the cards in this group haven’t been dealt with yet”

I use an Inbox for the Siri Shortcut and I’d imagine something similar here, but if I know everything I’m about to write, it’d be super helpful t be able to select the space and then go to town.

These are also things that aren’t super important to the core goal, at least to begin.
