PK ya i think i’ll allow invited users to edit even without an account, but that’ll take some time to implement. so i’ll likely look into it after image uploads are done
Would it be possible to allow the owner to grant anonymous users write access for that session? Or keep content staged until the owner approves?
PK ya it wasn’t on the roadmap but it was also requested by someone else, but it basically means an open space is impossible to moderate ... it’s a tricky situation :(
My experience
(I know I saw this on roadmap or some space. There are probably moderation issues with letting spaces be wide open, things you have already considered :) )
It is a small barrier I was able to convince my team to sign up. But some are reluctant to create another login for another service they aren’t sure about.
Test
PK Makes sense, i should be able to do this p easily
Maybe you can draw over them and “strum” them.
They can be locked so they are not edited, but keep the playful interactions.
Besides giving you more words about the space being read-only, you just see disabled UI.
When you click on a card or connection, it feels like hitting a brick wall when you get the read-only popup. That popup seems largely unnecessary.
but...
You have these, in the for of read-only templates
Idea
Anon editing is being spec-ed out now
What if cards and connections do jiggle in read-only mode?
[ben] right, makes sense...
i made it so that even if they don’t have an account yet, they can read the space and see you making it in real time which might help convince ppl to sign up but it’s not as seamless as no sign up needed..
When a space is read-only, it “feels” like the fun has been stripped away. You don’t get to see any cards or connections jiggling.
Part of getting more people on the platform is showing examples of uses
